turkey & truth relish
today i am making my way to the Woods Woods Ave. that is my old stomping grounds in the hood for 15 years actually only a few streets over from where i now reside i'm having a late afternoon meal with my best friend & fellow time traveler Annie her husband John & their remaining parents also joining the mix will be about 5 or so of our friends Annie & John are both talented artists ( but after 30 years had to conform by working in the medical field to pay bills) so the surroundings are alive with huge color canvases clay sculptures & large pieces of handmade pottery a collection gathered over 30 some odd years
we are all bringing a dish or two i am doing an appetizer brushetta with bleu cheese & honey deviled eggs dressing with artichokes & feta cheese & i am putting together a simple natural floral piece for the table i cooked a bit for Annie's company yesterday because she took a fall down the basement steps on Tuesday but nothing was broken just bent i can guarantee there will be enough energy in that box todo anything that need to be done & more there's been some shaking going on lately anyway notice ?
i hope each one finds much to be thankful for not only on this day but each & everyday gratitude is a powerful spiritual weapon i don't go for the "traditional" Thanksgiving meaning since i found at the original feast the Natives who taught the newcomers what to plant & when to reap & how to store served the Pilgrims before they ate & were massacred before they could partake the true story was told me by an ancestor of the original tribe members he speaks in local Virginia schools in his magnificent regalia they don't welcome his version lol myths are sometimes easier to take than truth maybe that's why there are so many
love in action sent through generous helping spirits was the "religion" that birthed this "celebration" maybe one day we'll get back to those unselfish ways for me it resonates & echoes deeply in my soul & rattles my old bones may all our ancestors gather with us & gift us peace this day
blessings for a beautiful day

Good Morning Beck and thanks for the visit.
I do like your thoughts about the Native Americans. I had a very close friend in Michigan. He has passed away. He was full blooded Mohawk. He was such a great guy and had a lovely family. I miss him. I also remember a little Native American boy who lived next door for a while. I aws about 12 and he 5. He would come over and want to play 'cowboys and Indians,' but he wanted to be the cowboy because they always won!!! Actually, quite sad. So my sympathies are with you today on that subject.
I do hope you enjoy your non-traditional time of thanksgiving emphasizing gratitude. I just love that thought---just being more grateful.
I really enjoyed seeing your picture today. Thanks for sharing it.
Thanks for visiting me when you can.
I could be more 'wild' in my writings, but I am too chicken. I have a very nice group of gals mostly who visit me. I don't know why, but they keep me busy reading and replying. I try to visit their sites. Some send me Messages about personal problems or can tell that I am not feeling well emotionally. i appreciate them.
hugs
Frank
A so beautiful Indian ( native American ) woman . You are nice , Beck .
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours
Love
Michel
i noticed the shaking last night but it was mostly in the energy around me. not the actual floor or anything like that shaking. but i haven't been feeling much of anything lately due to some "stuff" going on. like i have been busy doing human things....
i didn't know about the original thanksgiving. seems all original holidays are lies. but you take the good with the bad. can't change the past and can only life now. if you turn it around and make it a good holiday then something wonderful did come out of it anyway.
Oh my GOD. I am totally horrified. And I was actually thinking about the Thanksgiving "story" yesterday and had a strong feeling that it is pure propaganda.
