dissect my flesh
with a jeweler's
fine tool

at the seams
of my being
with the magnanimity

dress me up
in lace petals
& feathers
put rainbows in my hair
dress me down to
nothingness
afterward
with one word
from the lips of heaven
keep me safe
under
the girth
of your steel wing
i will kiss it clean
of stain again
recite to me
ancient verses
of unrelenting tenderness
